It is still winter here in NZ and it sure is making its presence felt, rain persisting down, a gale blowing, just the weather for some fishing dreams.

I came across the WhereWiseMen fish site, and it really is the stuff of dreams – you name somewhere round the world where you want to fish and they go there, and then some.

How about chasing Mahseer in the foothills of the Himalayas? Mahseer is a fish to fill fly fishing dreams;

“There he stood, the Mahseer off the Poonch, beside whom the Tarpon is a Herring and he who catches him can say he is a fisherman.” Rudyard Kipling.

Hi there
How about big Mahseer in northern Thailand, in tributaries of the mighty Salween River? Golden, Thai and Blue Mahseer are indigenous to local waters of Mae Sariang. See http://www.Thailand-Fly-Fishing-Guides.info for details on S.E. Asia's 1st Fly Fishing Only, Catch & Release project.
